HOME TECH CARE
Someone to call about your computer.
Printer trouble, an unfamiliar update, or a password that stopped working. Home Tech Care gives you a named technician to call, with no per-call charge. Buy it for yourself or arrange it with a family member. The member controls access and any shared notes.
Choose the plan that fits: $299/yr for one person, or $449/yr for a household of up to four. Includes calls, a yearly check-up per computer, and 20% off repairs. Full repairs, data recovery, and new-computer setups are separate jobs; we explain the price before starting.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
For yourself
You would rather ask someone who knows you than search for an answer and hope.

The family tech support may live too far away to see the screen. Start with how to raise the idea — that is often harder than choosing the plan.

The next question needs someone who can see what is happening.
An online answer may describe a different screen. Family help by phone can turn into guessing which button is where. Home Tech Care gives the member a direct number for someone who can walk through the question and, with permission, see the screen during an arranged session.
The member makes the call and approves access. Bryan explains the next step. After the visit, a plain-language note can go to the person the member chooses. A full repair remains a separately priced decision.
Exactly what you get.
One plan, two household sizes, and the same included service in both.
- Call as often as you need
- The small things are the point. A password that stopped working, an email that looks wrong, a printer that quit, an update that changed everything. There is no per-call charge and no meter running, so nobody puts off calling because it seems too small.
- One full check-up a year, per computer
- Updates, storage, backups, battery health, and the security settings that quietly drift. We tell you what we found in plain language, and what — if anything — is worth doing about it.
- 20% off any repair
- If something does break, member repairs are 20% off, remote or at the Columbia bench. The $99 remote session and $149 flat drop-off labor are already published prices, so you can check the discount against them.
- A note to whoever you choose, after every visit
- After we help, we send a short plain-English note — what happened, what we did, whether anything needs attention. The member decides whether those notes go to anyone else, and to whom. It is their call, not ours, and it can be turned off at any time.
- A named technician and a direct number
- Not a queue and not a ticket. The same person who answers is the person who does the work, and members get the direct line rather than the main number.
And what it is not.
Read annual renewal, cancellation, and refund terms.
It is not monitoring.
Nobody watches the screen, reads email, or logs activity. We are not connected to the computer unless the member calls us and lets us in for that one session.
It is not a long-term contract.
It runs for one year. There is no automatic renewal without affirmative authorization. The member can cancel directly, with a refund for unused whole months.
It does not replace the free scam check.
Reading a suspicious message to us is free for anyone in Missouri, member or not. That never goes behind a plan.
If you are buying this for a parent
Bringing it up can feel awkward. Explain the practical help: someone they can call directly, the annual price, and what is included. Let them decide whether it would be useful.
If it would help to think it through with someone first, call. There is nothing to buy on that call.
Pick the moment, not the crisis.
Right after something has gone wrong is the worst time. It lands as "you cannot manage this" when everyone is already rattled. A quiet week later, it lands as what it actually is — a sensible arrangement.
Lead with the nuisance, not the risk.
"You should not have to spend a Saturday on hold with the internet company" goes down easily. "I am worried about you" usually does not, however true it is.
Make it about your time as much as theirs.
For a lot of families, they call you while you are two hundred miles away guessing at what they are looking at. Saying that plainly is not unkind. It gives everyone an easier out.
Leave the decision with them.
The plan is in their name. They choose whether notes go to anyone, and they can call and cancel that themselves. If the arrangement takes independence away, it is the wrong arrangement.
The rule that matters most
BrainRoad does not call out of the blue claiming your computer has a problem. We can return your request or contact you as agreed for your care plan. If an unexpected caller claims to be us, hang up and call the number published here to verify. You do not have to decide whether to trust the caller while they are on the line.
BrainRoad is a registered Missouri business at 4205 Philips Farm Rd, Ste 109, Columbia, MO 65201, run by Bryan Leasure. The same person answers the phone, does the work, and signs the note afterward.
WHAT IT COSTS
- One person
- $299/yr
- Household, up to four
- $449/yr
Billed once a year. Before renewal, we review the year with you and say plainly if the plan was not used enough to be worth keeping.
Both plans include calls without a per-call charge, the annual check-up per computer, 20% off repairs, and optional shared visit notes. The household price covers up to four people in one household.
The member can cancel and receive a refund for unused whole months. Renewal requires affirmative authorization.
Call (573) 268-4139Questions before you call
- Can I buy this for a parent who lives somewhere else in Missouri?
- Yes. Most of the help is remote, so it works anywhere in the state. Drop-off repairs and any hands-on work happen at the Columbia office, so a Columbia-area member gets more out of the repair discount than someone in the far corners of Missouri. That is worth knowing before you buy rather than after.
- Who does BrainRoad call if something is wrong?
- The member. Always the member first. Anyone else only hears from us if the member has said so, and only what the member has agreed to.
- What if I rarely need help?
- Your annual check-up is still included. If a year goes by with almost no contact, we will discuss whether the plan is useful before you decide to renew. There is no automatic renewal without your authorization.
- Will you call to sell me things?
- No. BrainRoad does not make unexpected calls claiming your computer has a problem or trying to sell you a repair. Requested callbacks and agreed check-ups are different. If a call surprises you, hang up and call our published number to verify it.
- What help is included, and what costs extra?
- Almost everything ordinary: settings, passwords, email, printers, updates, "is this message real," and walking through something on the screen. Full repairs, data recovery, and new-computer setups are separate jobs at their published prices, with the member discount.
- Can more than one person be on it?
- Yes. One person is $299/yr. A household of up to four people is $449/yr. It can cover two parents who share a computer or one household that wants a single arrangement for everyone.
Have a number ready for the next computer question.
Tell Bryan whether the plan is for you or someone else. The first conversation is free. One person is $299/yr; a household of up to four is $449/yr. We explain the included help and separate repair costs, then the member decides whether to join.
